Light show raises funds

The annual Christmas Magic in Lights held earlier this month at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds raised $ 3,800 .
Two organizations chosen to benefit from this event were the Coshocton County Miracle on Wheels Christmas Bicycle Giveaway and the Coshocton County Firefighters Toy Chest . Both received $ 1,500 checks , which were presented to them by fair board members Ron Seitz and Rick Williamson .
“ We had 30 groups set up displays this year , and I think we had nine last year ,” Seitz said . “ We were tickled to have so many set up . We stayed busy that whole night . I ’ d say we had well over 1,000 vehicles come through . There was one truck that went through four times because the kids loved it .”
A donation only is asked of attendees . Seitz said they plan to use the other $ 800 raised to maybe help a couple of other groups and invest in displays .
“ The whole point of us doing this is so we are able to give back to the community ,” he said .
Bri Celeschi accepted the Toy Chest donation , and Adison Smith received the check for the Miracle on Wheels program she created . Smith also introduced Kyra McWhorter , who will take over the project after Smith graduates from high school . McWhorter will shadow Smith the rest of this year .
