River View makes decision about reconfiguring
 By Jen Jones
For the last several months , River View Local School District has been holding meetings to talk about reconfiguring the district . Fewer students and the age of many of the elementary buildings have posed a problem for many years , and the time has come to make decisions no one wanted to make .
According to Chuck Rinkes , superintendent of River View , the plan that was chosen will send all pre-kindergarten through second grade to Warsaw Elementary , grades 3-6 to the junior high building with one grade in modular buildings and grades 7-8 to the high school .
“ This plan was chosen because of the size and rooms available in the high school and junior high ,” Rinkes said . “ We

Before making this decision , River View sent out parent surveys to get the opinion of the families in the district . Only 360 surveys were completed .
“ We held 31 different meetings to get the word out about the reconfiguration ideas being presented . We would have liked to have seen better attendance and more participation in our meetings . But we also posted a taped version of the community meeting online , which was watched 148
