Prayer walk held for all denominations

n Good Friday on April 15 , people of all denominations gathered at the gazebo on the
court square for a prayer walk . It was a time for God ’ s people to remember when Jesus carried his cross to Calvary to be beaten and crucified so believers could be forgiven for sins .
Pastor Mike Jansen from Coshocton Christian Tabernacle read a devotional by Max Lucado and began the walk encouraging everyone to pray as they walked . “ As we walk by , people pray that they will go to church ,” he said .
Pastor Joe Sanders and Pastor Bryan Kittner led the walk .
Pastor Larry Massie from Solid Rock Four Square Church above Roscoe Village has participated in the prayer walk for 17 years .
“ They were doing it before I got here ,” he said . “ It ’ s an amazing thing to see everyone coming together across denominations . This time of year is all about the
death , burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord . That ’ s what we ’ re about today . We are spending time recognizing the price that Jesus paid to make it

possible for us to have a right relationship with our Father once again .”
Beverly Thomas , granddaughter Samantha Estvanko and her family from Solid Rock Four Square Church said , “ We decided this year it was time for us to take a walk for Jesus . There are 23 of us that go to church of which I am the proud grandmother and greatgrandmother , and we all go to church at Solid Rock .”
Thomas bought everyone wooden crosses at Walmart . They painted them white and decorated the crosses themselves .
Pastor Mike Walters from Coshocton Baptist Church said , “ It is nice to see all the churches come together and share the love of Jesus .”
Following the prayer walk , everyone returned to the gazebo for worship and prayer led by Pastor Bryan Kittner from Emmanuel Lutheran Church .
