Mission fellowship dinner is April 24
India Evangelical Mission will have its annual fellowship dinner at Carlisle Inn Thursday, April 24. The fellowship dinner will start at 6 p. m., followed by music provided by the Mathai grandchildren and a presentation by the Mathai family.
India Evangelical Mission was started by GV and Mariamma Mathai and a faithful group of friends in May 1966. The ministry includes a Bible school, schools and Sunday school programs for children, and a ministry to meet the needs of those in poor communities.
Although GV and Mariamma Mathai have finished their earthly journey, the ministry continues in a wider scope. The mission aims to provide for the physical, spiritual and material needs of people, young and old, across India. The Mathai’ s four children have assumed ministry responsibilities and even increased the ministry to many remote locations.
Attendees will hear about the children’ s ministry that serves poor and orphaned children, providing nutrition and schooling. They will see the joy of those people living in slums receiving food and hygiene packages and rejoice as they hear about the Bible school that equips Indian nationals to share the Gospel and plant local churches all over India including places where danger lurks.
