Studio Glow Day Spa is now open on Main Street

Studio Glow Day Spa celebrated the opening of its new business at 237 Main St . on April 5 with a ribbon cutting and open house .
“ Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce is super excited to be here for another ribbon cutting on Main Street ,” Executive Director Amy Crown said . “ The Studio Glow Day Spa brings a unique take to some different services that we don ’ t already have in Coshocton . We ’ re excited to have another nail tech and all the services that Ashten is going to be able to support . When I first talked to Ashten , I never dreamed she would have the work done in just four weeks .”
“ I have to thank my grandpa for that . He did a lot of work in here ,” said Ashten Ray , owner of the spa . “ The business has three rooms : one for aesthetician services to bring out the beauty of your skin , a nail room , and a treatment room for teeth whitening and permanent makeup in the near future . The journey started a few years ago . I have developed a passion for skin care and making people feel pampered and relaxed . I got my license at Aveda Institute ’ s aesthetics program in Columbus .
“ I was in the position of not knowing what I wanted to do and decided to open my own business . I came to Coshocton because it ’ s my hometown and I know so many people here . My mission for this business is to provide an atmosphere where people can come , relax , and escape from everyday life and feel indulged and spoiled .”
The spa provides nails , pedicures , facials , body treatments and waxing , and Ray plans to expand in the back with Sheree ’ s Salon soon .
“ So we do have a lot of plans ,” Ray said . “ I ’ m excited to see what the future holds for us and excited to start this journey with skin care treatments . I like being busy , and I have a personality for multi-tasking . I have a bachelor ’ s in child and family studies , so I have a well-rounded education , sort of a jack

“ By the end of summer , hopefully , we plan to open the back as an event venue for booking parties . There will be pedicure chairs for kids ’ birthday parties where you can get a mini-pedi or for a wedding party for the bride and her party to get pampered . It is something we are in the process of working on . We want to do something upstairs as well . We have big plans for this building , and I ’ m exciting to start working toward that .”
Spa nail technician Exzayvya “ Zay ” Carroll is a graduate of Knox Technical Center for Nails . “ I ’ m offering gel manicures , different pedicures , a luxury pedicure , basic pedicure and a hemp-infused pedicure ,” she said . “ I have kids mini pedicures , unicorn pedicures . I ’ m offering acrylics , and I am in the process of having spray tanning . I can ’ t wait to pamper all of you .”
