Pair of new members named to distribution committee

The Coshocton Foundation Distribution Committee is welcoming two new members. Brooke Bigrigg and Emily Marrison were appointed, effective April 1, for five-year terms ending March 31, 2030.
Bigrigg, appointed by Coshocton County Probate and Juvenile Court Judge Jason W. Given, has taken Kathy Gwinn’ s seat on the committee. A New Concord native who graduated from John Glenn High School in 2017, Bigrigg received a bachelor’ s degree in health administration from Muskingum University in 2021 and a master’ s degree in adult education in 2022. She is employed with Coshocton Regional Medical Center as a practice manager of the outpatient and specialty clinics.
Bigrigg and her husband Josh bought their first home in Coshocton in 2022 and welcomed their daughter Bindi in July 2023. Bigrigg looks forward to the opportunity to serve on the Coshocton Foundation Distribution Committee. She hopes to expand her knowledge of the Coshocton community while bringing a fresh perspective to the committee and its members.
She is involved in Kiwanis Club of Coshocton and Leadership Coshocton County Class of 2025 and is a volleyball coach for Muskingum University. She attends Five14 Church and New- Pointe Church.
Marrison was appointed by Coshocton County Common Pleas Court Judge Robert J. Batchelor. She will fill the seat of Kim Hayes, who filled an unexpired term

and served a total of nine years, most recently as the committee chair.
Marrison is a 1996 graduate of River View High School and Ohio State University, where she received a bachelor’ s degree and master’ s degree in food science. She worked in research and development at Abbott Nutrition in Columbus from 2003-12.
She joined Ohio State University Extension Coshocton County as the agriculture and natural resources educator and county director in May 2012, transitioning to the family and consumer sciences educator in July 2018. She is now an assistant professor with the university and is responsible for educational programming related to healthy living such as food safety, diabetes nutrition, financial coaching and parenting programs.
Marrison is a member of the Kno-Ho-Co-Ashland Community Action Commission Board of Directors, the Coshocton County Head Start Health Service Advisory Committee and the OhioMeansJobs Advisory Committee. She and her husband David each have two children. She enjoys gardening, cooking, physical fitness, reading,
teaching Sunday school and being a part of the worship team at Fresno Bible Church.
Coshocton Foundation Executive Director Bob Pell said he and the foundation’ s trustees are grateful to Gwinn and Hayes for their years of service to the foundation and the community.
“ Kathy’ s and Kim’ s time on the distribution committee was marked by an exemplary spirit of cooperation and cohesiveness among the current members, as well as former committee chairs Dick Berg and Christy Gauerke,” Pell said.“ We are confident that the new appointees will bring their own experiences and perspectives to the committee’ s deliberations.”
The Coshocton Foundation was established in 1966 through the last will and testament of local merchant Adolph Golden and has distributed over $ 10 million in grants to community organizations from its unrestricted fund. In addition, the foundation has more than 185 restricted funds from which distributions are made for specific purposes.
