The American Red Cross is in need of volunteers in Coshocton County .

Michael Vance , volunteer recruitment specialist with the East Central Ohio Region of the American Red Cross , said they are in need of volunteers in two areas .

Disaster Action Team : virtual associates

Four to six new volunteers are currently needed to assist with local disaster-response efforts . Individuals can register and take the online training courses at home to learn how to respond to support victims of local disasters .

Volunteers can serve in this position while working from home to support local families affected by home fires and other disasters .

Blood donor ambassadors

Local blood-drive volunteers also are needed to staff the welcome desk and health screener positions ( protective equipment will be provided ) to support local blood donors at area blood drives .
