a story. For weeks, people could not stop
watching or listening.
The school year also started with a release from
Glass Animals. How To Be A Human Being was
released at the end of August. Glass Animals
don’t get nearly as much appreciation as they
deserve. Their new album is the perfect study
music for their fans. It was a step out of the box
and more upbeat and raw than the band has
been before. The funky yet chill vibes fit in
perfectly with the eclectic releases that 2016 has
brought.
December 2016
The internet was hooked. The album still ranks
in Billboard’s top 100 albums. Lemonade was filled
with girl power and seemed to be exactly what
people needed in this crazy year.
Summer ended with more good music to push us
into the school year. Frank Ocean left everyone
waiting for months for his new album to drop.
His fans were biting their nails waiting for it to
come out and, when it finally did, the internet
practically blew up.
Music wise, this year was a huge success. Every
season of the year was defined by a legendary
album. This year was defined by strange electric
sounds and chill rapping. Every artist seemed to
step outside the box in the music realm, yet
everyone stayed true to their name.
Ocean’s album was everything fans were
expecting. Five songs from Blonde were ranked in
Billboard’s Hot 100. Blonde started the school year
with chill vibes and intriguing raps.
Now sit back, turn on some The Life of Pablo, and
study for these upcoming finals. Once they're
over, we have a new set of music to look forward
to.
Surprisingly, music this year only happened to get
better.
