It seems like just yesterday finals creeped up and everyone was rushing to Starbucks to cram in some last minute studying of a semester that had gone by too fast . Students had their headphones in and books out and wished for time to speed up and for summer to come . Then finals dragged to a close and summer appeared and disappeared faster than anyone could blink .
The first semester is in its final stretch and 2016 is racing to an end . One of the highlights of this year was the great music . Artists from every genre brought revolutionary albums that redefined music and gave this year its own identity . Each one is just as good as when they came out and it ' s hard to believe some were released in the very beginning of the year .
Kanye West ’ s long awaited album The Life of Pablo came out in the beginning of spring . Before the release , the rapper went back and forth between names and ways of release on his new album . The entire process had everyone on the edge of their seats . When the album did become exclusively available , it did not disappoint . It ranked first on Billboard ’ s Top 200 shortly after release .
The creative genius in Kanye couldn ’ t stop working on the album . It was a work in progress all year long . It became accessible in various places with various versions of the album . Everywhere I went this year , whether it be spring or summer break , Kanye ’ s album seemed to follow .
The year of amazing music continued when Beyonce decided to surprise everyone with her new album . Beyonce is known for her surprise albums and this one seemed to define the year . Lemonade came out of the blue and had fans crazed . The music videos turned the album into
