How did you find Tika?
Ymke:
‘I knew Tika from a previous
collaboration on a short video for school. I
felt like her story deserved more attention
because I know how important it is for Tika
to break the taboo around intimacy with
disabled people and I wanted to help her
with that.’
Any Negative reactions
given the society we live
in today?
Nienke:
‘No actually not. A lot of
people had the prejudice that Tika was
weird and foul, but after watching the
documentary, they realized that what Tika
does is very important and they really
respect her.’
Has making this
documentary opened
doors for you career?
Ymke:
‘For a while we doubted if we
would offer the documentary somewhere.
However, because it was a school
assignment, we chose not to. We do get
a lot of requests lately from big
companies like Talpa asking if they could
use our documentary, that is quite cool!’
Nienke:
This was a very fun and
educational experience. I am most proud of
this documentary in my whole NHTV career.
Ymke:
The PR7 course represents the
reality of working in real life. I enjoyed
working on this production and the
compliments that we still get from the
documentary!
