From the Editor’s Desk
Welcome to the first issue of ‘The Cone’,
ProSeed Book’s online lifestyle magazine.
The idea for The Cone came from a desire
for ProSeed Books and our creative energy to
stay active and vibrant during the often
lengthy development stages of our major
book projects. In The Cone we saw an
opportunity to explore, to discover, to learn,
to test, to create and following the ProSeed
Books’ philosophy of collaborating with
artists, writers, photographers, entrepreneurs
and others in the creation of something new
and engaging and to share this with you. I
look at The Cone as a journey on the road of
developing and designing a more conscious
lifestyle. One that encompasses the tastes, the
feel and the ethos of what ProSeed Books is
all about.
The Cone will have a variety of articles on
food, fashion, books (of course), art, etc. A
cornucopia of ideas and images to engage
you on the day-to-day journey of your life’s
adventure. And it will be our challenge to be
mindful of the stories, subjects and images
we present so that they may be helpful,
enlightening and or at least entertaining. As
this is our first issue there will undoubtedly
be a few kinks we’ll have to workout, but I
hope you will stay with us as The Cone
develops and I hope you’ll give us feed back
so we can continue to create a publication
that will thrive along with its readers.
In this issue we’ll hear the story of a globe
trekker and his South American adventures
on the back of a motorcycle, our DIY Lab
will give you a simple recipe for homemade
marshmallows which will elevate any S’more
to the next level, we’ll find out if Salt’s Cure
has the cure for your appetite and we have a
visual feast of the Santa Monica Farmer’s
Market just to name a few of the things in
our Spring issue. Thank you and enjoy the
