Growing Pains in Labor & Delivery

Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth lifts spirits

Andrews Women ’ s Hospital seeks to expand labor & delivery suites

urrently the only dedicated women ’ s hospital in Fort Worth , Andrews Women ’ s Hospital ( AWH ) at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth is on track to deliver more than 6,200 babies this year — far more than any other facility in Tarrant County .
AWH offers a variety of labor and delivery services , including maternity , high-risk pregnancy care and a level III neonatal intensive care unit ( NICU ), among others .
Recognized in 2019 as a Level IV maternal care center , AWH is the first hospital in Tarrant County to be awarded the highest possible designation by the Texas Department of State Health Services . A Level IV designation signifies that the hospital provides the most comprehensive maternal care and underscores the facility ’ s ability to treat even the most complex cases .
AWH has experienced enormous growth in baby deliveries over the past five years . We expect this trend will continue since the population of Fort Worth , the 12th largest city in the country , continues to grow at a fast pace .
Due to increased volume , our 19 private labor and delivery suites are at full capacity daily . Construction is currently

underway to create four additional labor and delivery suites and a corresponding nurse ’ s station .
Once these rooms are complete , the hospital will begin updating the existing rooms which have experienced a great deal of use over the past 13 years since AWH has been serving families . Upgrades will include new flooring , light fixtures , paint , and furniture . The color schemes will be modified to blend with the modernized finishes of the new rooms .
This expansion and improvement project is crucial to meeting the growing maternal care needs of our population , while also providing a warm and familyfocused environment for expectant moms . Philanthropic support will help us provide the very best care to families in our community .

Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth
In December 2019 , Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth established an Arts in Medicine program , made possible by a three-year grant from the G . R . White Trust . This generous funding has allowed us to offer musical performances by Artists-in- Residence in common areas around the hospital . Their artistic presence promotes general well-being and provides distraction and stress reduction for families , visitors , and clinical and support staff .
On September 17 , 2021 , the Baylor Scott & White All Saints Health Foundation welcomed the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth for their first Arts in Medicine performance . On this day , a talented trio presented an hour-long public performance in the hospital atrium so that patients , family members and staff could enjoy the uplifting sounds . The mission of the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth is to promote and present the highest-quality chamber music for our city and region , reflecting innovation , creativity in programming , and selection of superior musical artists . Through this new partnership , made possible by continued support of our Arts in Medicine donors , the hospital will host the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth for two performances each month and will further create an environment designed to enrich the experience of patients , families , and staff .
