Celebrating a Year of Possibilities

Hybrid OR has enabled surgeons to perform 254 advanced procedures since July 2020

Hybrid Operating Room combines a traditional operating room with fixed advanced imaging systems , offering the capability to perform image-guided surgery during both minimally invasive and open procedures . The greatest benefit in having this technology is an improvement in patient safety and recovery due to less stress from multiple surgeries . Since opening in July 2020 , our Hybrid OR has enabled our surgeons to perform 254 procedures .
Board-certified vascular surgeon , Mujtaba Ali , MD , has performed 217 of these procedures including one of the latest procedures called a Transcarotid Artery Revascularization or TCAR . A TCAR procedure is a safer , minimally invasive method of placing a stent in the carotid artery to prevent future strokes in stroke patients .
