Andrews Women ’ s Hospital Labor & Delivery Expansion n addition to celebrating 14 years of “ Caring for Women for Life ,” Andrews Women ’ s Hospital recently welcomed the addition of four new labor and delivery suites and a corresponding nurse ’ s station . This represents a 20 % increase from 19 to 23 rooms . The designs were based on input from surveys of local women planning to expand their families .

The hospital has now begun updating its original 19 L & D rooms which have experienced a great deal of use over the past 14 years . Upgrades will include new flooring , light fixtures , paint , and furniture , and the color schemes will be updated to blend with the modernized and soothing finishes of the new rooms .
This expansion and improvement project is crucial to meeting the growing maternal care needs of our population , while also providing a warm and family-focused environment for expectant moms . Andrews Women ’ s Hospital delivers more than 6,000 babies annually — a volume greater than any other facility in Tarrant County , and second only to Parkland in Dallas !
The hospital includes a labor and delivery unit that offers high-risk pregnancy care and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit ( NICU ) designed to care for the tiniest infants , as well as those born with serious medical challenges . The 63-bed NICU is one of the busiest and largest in North Texas .
Philanthropic support has helped us provide the very best care to families in our community .
