Letter from the President
In these uncertain and often daunting times , it becomes even more important to look for bright spots to buoy our spirits and keep us moving forward . At Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center - Fort Worth , we see bright spots in our employees who provide tireless and compassionate care for our patients , day after day . Clinical advances in treatment for COVID-19 led by researchers at Baylor Scott & White provide us hope for brighter days ahead .
Our 10-year journey to Magnet designation , the highest international recognition in nursing excellence , came to a successful conclusion last month . And , we will soon welcome our first class of physician residents , bringing us one step closer to our transformation to a teaching hospital . These bright spots would not be possible without the generosity of our community , which will help us navigate the challenges and uncertainty in the months ahead .
I recently ran across this poem by a national leader and was moved by its portrayal of human resilience during these difficult times .
We can ’ t touch but we still reach out
we hunker down but we still rise up
our bodies are attacked but our spirits fight back
the enemy is invisible but so many of our heroes are now seen
weeks and weeks of isolation but still infinite and invincible determination
we are distant but we stand together
and together we shall overcome
We are truly in this together .
