Career highlights
One of the highlights of my career to date was advising EnQuest on its new offshore business in Malaysia. Working very closely with the client project and finance teams on the ground in Kuala Lumpur and negotiating contracts with PETRONAS allowed me to gain a solid commercial understanding of the industry I operate in. Client secondments have also taught me the value of succinct and practical legal advice.

Advice to future lawyers
Read Richard Susskind ' s book – " Tomorrow ' s Lawyers "( now on its second edition). The legal market is changing rapidly, and this is essential reading for anyone entering the profession. Richard predicts a world of online courts, AI-based global legal business, liberalised markets, commoditisation and outsourcing, internet-based simulated practice, and new legal jobs.
