The truth and nothing but the truth of practice
There is no ‘one size fits all’ method that can guarantee a good career
path but of course it will be an advantage if you know what you wanted to
be so that you can focus and work towards your career goal right from the
beginning. In order to achieve that, you need to read more to find out or
even get some hands-on experience by joining internship programmes
which are available in the market. You should also engage with the people
who have the relevant experience in the fields that you are interested in.
Lastly, not everyone is born with the qualities of a great lawyer. As we
always say, ‘work smart not work hard’. If becoming a great lawyer is
what you aspired to be (which I still hope I can become one), my advice to
all the legal eagles out there is: ‘not just work smart, you need to work
hard’.
