UNE COM HUMANISM IN AGING ACTION AWARDS 2019-2020
The UNE COM American Geriatrics Society Student Chapter has been recognizing internationally known geriatricians with the Humanism in Aging Leadership Award since 2010. This past fall the winner, Louise Aronson, MD, MFA from University of California, San Francisco and author of the internationally published book, Elderhood, was recognized for this award.
Since 2010, UNE COM students participate in an active learning opportunity; that of constructing an essay or other humanistic product that addresses the question: “How will I incorporate what I learned from the Humanism in Aging Leadership awardee’s presentation in my future practice?”
