CONGRATULATIONS TO THE COM CLASS OF 2020
MATCH DAY UNTHWARTED BY COVID-19
Although the COM Class of 2020 wasn’t the first class to graduate from UNE COM, they pioneered a series of firsts this spring. Due to the spread of COVID-19 to the U.S., UNE started working from home in March, just shortly before Match Day. Approximately 70 students and their families intended to travel back to UNE COM to partake in our Match Day Celebration on March 20th. For many students, it would have been the first time they had seen one another since the end of their second-year.
Needless to say, the in-person event undoubtedly needed to move online. Fortunately, with a lot of determination and collaboration, speeches were pre-recorded, and students were able to watch the presentation via Facebook and YouTube. Most importantly, the match results were announced at noon, and students were able to share in that moment on the virtual stage.
