UNE COM ALUMNI LECTURE AT THE NHOA
Ryan Smith, DO, Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, and Co-Course Director of Osteopathic Medical Knowledge II, presented two lectures at the 29th Annual NH Osteopathic Association Winter Symposium in Bartlett, NH. His lectures, "Psychiatric Drug Update for Primary Care" and "Complex Psychiatric Cases in Primary Care" were both presented on the Sunday of the weekend conference.
Other esteemed UNE COM alumni also presented. Frank Hubbell, DO ’91 spoke on “Non Freezing Cold Injuries” and “The Sick Traveler Returns”. Patricia Murray, DO ’99 presented on “Interpreting Functional Medicine.” Michael McNamara, DO ‘88 lectured on “Using Ketamine” and “Sleep Medicine.”

DR. JONATHAN FINNOFF JOINS USA OLYMPIC TEAM AS CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER
COM alumnus, Jon Finnoff, DO ’95, was named Chief Medical Officer for the USA Olympic Team. Dr. Finnoff will be responsible for implementing medical strategies, set by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), which includes bringing a holistic approach to treating athletes, both mentally and physically. Dr. Finnoff has a long history of sports medicine. Not only did he serve as Medical Director for the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center in Minneapolis, he also served as the team physician for the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves, and the WNBA’s Lynx.
Dr. Finnoff will start his new position on March 2, 2020. Learn more.
