Members of the UNE COM Community marched and cheered at the Portland Pride Parade last weekend. President James Herbert, PhD, and his wife, Lynn Brandsma, PhD, carried the UNE banner for the duration of the march. This year, UNE had the highest number of participants in the parade, sporting t-shirts with the Black Trans Pride Flag. The beautifully designed HEAl shirts were also on display. Thank you to everyone who showed their support!

First and second-year COM students attended the WellCOM & COMpanion BBQ in July. The event celebrated the start of the year and was the perfect opportunity for first-year students to officially meet their second-year COMpanions, who help mentor and support them throughout their first year in medical school.
