First-year COM students, Ana de Pina and Sonia Gonzalez, attended the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) Northeast regional conference in Syracuse, New York in February. During the course of the conference, they engaged with a number of pre-medical students who were introduced to osteopathic medicine for the very first time. Ana and Sonia shared all about UNE COM and how, if they were interested, they could go to medical school to become a DO. Of the experience, Ana says, “I enjoyed sharing my non-traditional path to medical school with the students. We also had a great time connecting with other Latino medical students.”
