2019 GRADUATES ELIZABETH ANNE MCGEE THESIS: A Field Guide to Common Plants of the Palouse. PLANS AFTER GRADUATION: My husband and I will move down to Pensacola, FL, in July and raise kids on a farm; once we are settled I hope to start up a flow- er-cutting garden business. PLANS AFTER GRADUATION: I will be taking a gap year before pursuing my masters in either history or psychology. MOST IMPORTANT TAKEAWAY: The purpose of learning should always be to love others better, to love God more, and to cultivate the world He gave us. FAVORITE NSA MEMORY: Recitations—we got to interact with each other, our professors, and new ideas all at once! NOAH NEVILS THESIS: Give Us Barabbas. PLANS AFTER GRADUATION: Return to South Florida to work as a teacher, with hopes of enlarging the Kingdom of God by any means necessary—even blog- ging at storyreform.com. MOST IMPORTANT TAKEAWAY: Relax in the Lord so you can get after it, thanking Him for everything. FAVORITE NSA MEMORY: Can’t pick one, but spikeball at East City Park, camp- ing at Lake Pend Oreille, and singing “The Son of God Goes Forth to War” with God’s people have all added to my joy. TORI PRZYBYL B THESIS: The Post Counter-Reformation Mass. PLANS AFTER GRADUATION: Doing lots of Kodály. MOST IMPORTANT TAKEAWAY: Wagner broke music. FAVORITE NSA MEMORY: Everything about Bach’s B Minor Mass. JOSHUA A. ROBERTS THESIS: Madrid’s Asperges Me: A Critical Edition. PLANS AFTER GRADUATION: I will finish the music certificate program here at NSA next year, and plan to pursue a master’s degree in music after that. MOST IMPORTANT TAKEAWAY: It’s not really about the grades; it’s about learn- ing discernment through study and experience, and being able to reach and defend conclusions, while remaining humble enough to receive correction and admit errors. FAVORITE NSA MEMORY: It’s extremely hard to pick only one thing out of the countless amazing things that have happened over the past four years, but one of my very favorite things has been singing the Lutkin Benediction over the graduating class year by year.
