38 started to make the series, they barely had any money and they didn’ t plan to continue the series. In fact, they used costumes for the Demogorgons( predatory creatures) at first. However, now, thanks to the success of the series after the first two seasons, producers have the money to invest in CGI, making it look so much more realistic. The films of Greta Gerwig and Tim Burton demonstrated how feeling and creativity can give stories a big impact as well. Together, these experiences helped me see film not only as an art form, but as a future I hope to grow into as a director.
Technology has quickly changed the way we learn, communicate, and express ourselves, especially with artificial intelligence. As someone who loves to draw, this transformation feels very personal to me. I can spend hours working on a drawing by hand, whereas AI can create the same image in seconds. Not only that, it keeps evolving faster than I can! For example, I used two different versions of ChatGPT to generate the following prompt:“ a museum exhibit with computers from the 1920s, 1980s, and 2020s”. I could easily see how much technology has improved( see Figure 1). Moments like this make me realize that technology is not only changing tools or devices, but also the way we describe creativity. This leaves me conflicted: should we use AI to create art, or continue expressing ourselves using traditional methods? Maybe AI will change everything before we find the answer to this question.
After all this, I’ m indecisive. Technology can be used in both positive and negative ways. For example, we can use modern technology for advancements in healthcare, communication, education, innovation, farming, and fairtrade business opportunities. However, technology isn’ t always used for good but it can also be misused for crime. So, what do we do? It’ s up to us to use technology for the better or worse. Hopefully, we will choose wisely.
