Transformation in My Life
Anıl Tuna ÇOLAK ‣
Transformation refers to the process by which an individual alters their perception of themselves and their surroundings. For me, transformation did not take place in one special moment but developed slowly throughout my life. I have been involved in basketball since I was a child, and this sport has become the most important experience that has changed my direction.
Basketball was always part of my life, but when I started to take it more seriously, I understood what transformation really meant. Since I was young, I have had excessive energy, and I have had problems focusing. Staying focused in lessons for a long time was not easy for me. Basketball taught me how to control my energy and focus on a single issue at a time. Attending regular training sessions helped me become more disciplined and patient when facing problems.
As time passed, I also became more active in my school life. I started to take responsibility for group work and school activities. As a student leader, I learned that leadership is not only about talking too much but also about listening to others and helping them. Balancing school and sports was not always easy, and I made mistakes. However, these mistakes helped me improve myself.
Even now, I still have attention problems in some situations, especially during long courses, but I no longer see this as a major weakness. Basketball helped me understand myself better and concentrate on tasks in a positive way.
In conclusion, transformation means learning from experiences and improving yourself step by step. Playing basketball since childhood has had a significant effect on developing my leadership skills and shaping my view of life. This journey has not been easy, but it has made me more confident, responsible, and ready for the future. I am grateful for everything I have learned, experienced and achieved.
