Duru COŞKUN ‣
Welcome ladies and gentlemen today we have a very special guest attending our program. You probably know this person, but you also don’ t. Today we’ ll be interviewing with my future self, Dear Duru!
- Hi and thank you for inviting me to this wonderful program. I hope we have a good time, and I can answer all of your questions! of the TED community really affected the way I think and see the world we live in. Their strong ideas about education taught me a lot. Second is a change that builds up over time which is maturing. It didn’ t come within a quick time, but it was more of a time taking thing which needed patience. As I grow older, I realized that each year I was becoming a more mindful, more patient version of myself which deeply affected me.

Welcome again Duru. It’ s a pleasure to have you here. Alright then, let’ s start! First question, do you think we are the same person?
- Well, this may sound a bit tricky but no I don’ t think so. Why you may ask, well I believe this way because we are humans, and we all transform over time. While some changes may be visible, big and loud such as our looks, my English improving over time etc. Some changes are quieter, more subtle and they come in long periods of time such as how my perception of the society we live in changes over years or how I grasp more complex ideas quicker compared to you.
Well, that was a smooth and clear explanation, next question coming! What are some of the key transformations and changes you had in your life? How did these events affect you?
- Hmmm … Well, there are 2 main transformations that changed who I am. The first one is probably being a part of the TED’ s scholarship program TEB. Being a part
That was a nice answer well, last but not least we have our final question. What advice would you give me?
- That’ s a great question! Well, my number one advice is to be yourself and be open to changes. Because being open to changes and transforming doesn’ t mean you are losing your own personality. Transformations in your life are the actual things that create“ you”. From the biggest events of your life to the smallest ones that even you don’ t notice is the stuff you are made out of. There are two things in your life that will never end: learning and transforming. So be open minded to transformations and adore them because it’ s a lifelong journey where you don’ t even know where it’ s gonna end.
Thank you so much for everything! Guess we’ ll never meet again, you can really never meet a person twice because every single second they change, transform and become a different version of themselves.
- I guess! Thank you for having me. Have a nice day full of learning and transformation!
