Changes and Difficulties

Z. Tuna ÇINAR ‣
Changes are something that have happened throughout human history, no matter the decade. Scientifically, technologically, and— most importantly— socially, changes have always existed. A lot of people think the most important changes through decades are scientific or technological ones, but I think that’ s not true.
For example, let’ s say someone makes a brilliant invention that will help humanity. That invention will be useless if society does not accept it. Didn’ t that happen in Europe? People shamed millions of brilliant ideas and people just because society told them to, but then society changed and BOOM! Europe became one of the most developed continents, and that proves that societal changes are one of the most important.
The same things are happening today. People are realizing that being narrow-minded will not develop anything about where they live or about themselves. Hating a race, gender, or identity will only hold you back. Rosa Parks didn’ t give her seat to someone who considered themselves more important and later that event became an important movement.
The point is: if Rosa had given her seat, the bus seat movement would never have been a thing. Or if Marie had listened to society and given up on science, who knows? Maybe polonium would have been found decades later. So according to my argument, changes and movements make our society better. So go ahead do brave things, and if it’ s going to make our society better, do it without thinking twice.
