In my opinion, transformation is a significant change that happens to a person or something after an important event. For instance, World War II transformed the global order as power shifted from Europe to the United States. Although this transformation affected the whole world, it can also happen to a single individual too.
To give an example, a sickness I had when I turned 15 transformed the way I saw life. Last year, in 2025, I got sick for a reason that the doctors still can’ t figure out. I got a fever for a week that no medicine could cure. It only went up to 39 degrees Celsius, but it caused shivering episodes while it was increasing and I even saw a white light quite a few times. I remember thinking that this was the end and I was going to die. So many thoughts went through my head that day. How would my family and friends feel? Had I lived a good life? I’ m too young to die!
On one hand, I was scared and on the other, I realized that I regretted the life I had been living. I only cared about my grades, barely spent time with my friends and family, and most importantly did not enjoy anything I did. Somehow, I survived that weird sickness and from that day on, my whole perspective of life changed. I started to realize that there is more to life than just schoolwork and that spending time with people you love and care about is just as important, if not more.
Despite almost dying, I’ m glad I had that sickness because it showed me how to enjoy life. To conclude, don’ t be afraid if you experience a bad event. Who knows, it might transform into something wonderful!
