The Future We Choose to Ignore

Time no longer walks, instead it runs. It breaks the rules we thought we learnt. The sky no longer breathes air, but heat. Our future might be fading in defeat.
Trees stand thinner than before, Their shadows don’ t protect us anymore The seasons change and lose their names: Winter sweats while summer flames.
Cities grow where forests and rivers cried. Light bulbs replace the stars at night. People traded the moon for glowing screens, We forgot what nature even means.
And still we move as if we’ re deaf and blind, Calling these“ the best transformation of all time”. But change is not just progress we made, Sometimes it’ s what we failed to save.
If time could speak, it would ask why We forced the world learn how to die. Yet as years pass, the truth remains Those burned the most now blame the air.
