There was bird noise before,
You would wake up to that beautiful sound,
And get out barefoot,
Letting grass make you tickle.
32
You would feel the wind,
Playing with your hair.
It was such a serenity
When you closed your eyes.
One day,
Birds got silent.
Grass was dirty, and almost dead.
Wind never came back.
When all of them were here,
We never appreciated it.
Now it is gone,
We still do not care.
That’s why my child,
You will never be able to see,
Hear, or feel what we lived.
You can only imagine how it was.
