Does an Innovation Have to be Complex?
Orhan Ege LEBLEBİCİOĞLU
Innovation is the process of improving existing creations or finding new applications for them. For example, turning phones into cell phones or finding new renewable energy sources. The idea of innovation might sound hard and complex, but is it really that difficult?
Innovating can be very difficult. In the end, you are creating something that can change how you do things. For example, a self-driving car is an innovation that can save companies money and make someone feel more secure when traveling. The idea of a self-driving car was very difficult when it was first introduced. It was believed to be impossible at the time, and even with the technologies that could make it possible, it was expensive and difficult. Or another example, like AI, something we thought we would only see in movies. But with enough time and work, they became possible, though they were very complicated to create. notes— they all count as innovations. So, does this mean that innovations can be easier to achieve than they sound?
As a matter of fact, innovations can sometimes be simpler than they seem. However, turning these ideas into successful innovations can still be challenging.
However, an innovation doesn’ t have to be complicated. For example, it is a well-known fact in traditional medicine that tutsan oil heals wounds more rapidly. By making a band-aid that has this oil on the soft part of it, open wounds would heal faster. Now that sounds like a useful innovation, but it is not complex or hard to manufacture.
