In today ’ s world people who have knowledge about how to use digital technologies effectively are known as digital citizens . It started in the early 1990s and now it is popular worldwide . It influences us from every aspect . You can observe it even in your friendships . It has pros and cons but it ’ s all in your hands to decide how it affects you .
It had become our world . It ’ s a truth that eases our lives and gives us better opportunities but one thing bothers me . It ’ s so precious to see that humans are using their minds effectively , however , it ’ s really agonizing to see things harming us too .
We all know about the theory of multiverse . It hasn ’ t been proved yet , but we are facing the more real version of it the “ digital citizenship ”. While using it , we are creating identities for ourselves on Instagram , Facebook etc . but those are our fake identities . In real life we have nothing to hide , we exist as who we are , what we think , how we feel . But in the world of digital citizens we show what we want and hide what we actually are . In other words , we are lying not only to other people but also to ourselves .
It sounds like this situation is perfect and it doesn ’ t harm us but it does . The fake identities cause people to doubt about themselves , and damage our psychological health . Without our emotions we are not human beings .
In conclusion , we are very intelligent but also really stupid for not being aware of how our intelligence can harm us and it is our entire fault that this world is getting so dangerous . You may continue to be a digital citizen by being aware of its harms .
