Digital Citizenship

Phones , computers , and tablets have become a very big part of our lives . But no one really cares about how we should act in an online environment . People usually act completely different from their real selves . I think this is not a decent thing to do . We sometimes act rudely knowing that people on the other side of the screen can ’ t “ literally ” hurt us . Sometimes we even forget that the people we are communicating with are actual human beings . But that ’ s not acceptable at all ! The people on the other side of the screen could be our neighbors , our friends , our bosses at work , a relative or a loved one . That ’ s why we shouldn ’ t be rude to someone in a digital environment because we don ’ t even know who they are . I also notice people speaking in their native languages on international websites . I don ’ t think that ’ s good either ( unless it ’ s a site used only by your nation ). Not everyone may know or speak your language . It will be much better if we speak a widely acclaimed language , such as English in a situation like that . Otherwise , the other people who can ’ t speak your language may feel awkward .
