What kind of opportunities has art opened for you?
Living off of art is an undoubtedly complex process. In my country there are employment opportunities for artists. They are focused on teaching art to children and adolescents , although these offers are certainly interesting offers they escape my personal interest as an artist , because these jobs do not really leave time for artistic creation . At this point I find myself finishing a Masters in Art Education. But my interests are more focused on my learning processes and techniques of art . After finishing my career of plastic and visual arts at the National University of Colombia, I had the opportunity to participate in an art fair that undoubtedly has opened several possibilities for the marketing of the work. As for assignments and future exhibitions, currently I am preparing labor chromatic construction, for a collective exhibition at the beginning of April 2015.
You have this series of paintings that resemble buildings can tell us about them?
The idea of requiring a space to live as a need for all human beings has generated this interest for me. And it's because I live in the capital of a country, and the living spaces here are becoming increasingly smaller Plus new city projects are demolishing houses to build buildings which are increasingly obstructing our surrounding views. So as we can no longer see far out our windows , we are beginning to lose our privacy as well as our chance to see the mountains that surround my city.
What it is the next project you're working
My next project is The chromatic constructions project, which focuses on the issue that I just mentioned. But now it includes my interest in color perception while displaying the effects of this issue in the form of painting and drawing , as well in medium of sculpture. This project stems from the idea that the same object can change its size and view, as it also changes in the viewer through color. It is with this project that I want to ask questions , for both those who will face the work and for me. After this comes a series of paintings of everyday objects , these objects can be found in the home, some functional and other decorations that are there all the time. This project emphasizes the need to recognize them and give them a value through the art of painting and becoming a structure for a still life.

First all believe in the importance of everything that you create. You must find a way to live for what you like to do. Always find freedom in what you do.
