Can you tell us about yourself?
I'm from Bogota. Capital of Colombia . Among my interests are urban cycling , repairing objects and my house ,but also cooking . My artistic interests have focused on the study of painting and sculpture, primarily as a means of traditional expression. My practices have focused on various means of expression . Drawing , animation , video, printmaking, photography , performance . These mediums have allowed me to explore areas of interest that I see everyday life and gives me the means to express myself.
What made you become an artist?
My process started eight years ago when my interest in painting arouse through a friend. Who convinced me to try the medium. It was a great encounter because for over a year I was painting my house, pictures from magazines that caught my attention, While trying to capture the realism of the image. Upon entering the School of Art , among the students, and teachers, while being able to paint became a way of life for me. The possibilities of reflecting elements of everyday life and visions of color in various mediums inspired me to explore every possibility of painting on a canvas.
