GT4 GRID DEBUTS AT THE CLASSIC
New for 2022 , GT4 comes to The Classic with its spectacular supercar showdown taking to Silverstone Circuit !
With two thrilling 30-minute encounters on Saturday and Sunday , the new doubleheader Masters GT4 Classic Silverstone Challenge is certain to be an instant hit with both competitors and spectators . The grid is split into two groups : one for all ‘ current ’ GT4 cars that are still eligible to compete globally , and a ‘ classic ’ class for older models that are now out of homologation .
Fuelled by massive manufacturer interest , a vast array of supercar models have been homologated for the thriving GT4 category . What ’ s more , these represent many of the most acclaimed marques such as Aston Martin , Audi , BMW , McLaren , Mercedes-AMG and Porsche . Other famous GT4 cars that could be making history at Silverstone include the Corvette C6 , KTM X-Bow , Lotus Evora , Sin R1 , Ginetta G55 and Nissan 350Z .
DIDDLY SQUAT IS ‘ POPPING-UP ’
Straight from the local town of Chipping Norton , the renowned Diddly Squat Farm Shop famously set-up by Jeremy Clarkson as part of his widely-acclaimed Amazon Prime series Clarkson ’ s Farm , is joining us at The Classic this weekend !
As well as selling products such as eggs , potatoes , flour and bee juice ( honey ) all produced on Diddly Squat Farm , the little barn located close to Chipping Norton also offers Clarkson ’ s new Hawkstone beer .
A wide range of incredibly popular branded merchandise ranging from T-shirts and beanie hats to cuff-links and socks – all carrying an eye-catching motif celebrating the TV show ’ s big speedy Lamborghini tractor complete with a flaming exhaust pipe – will also be available at the pop-up outlet .
“ We started the little shop in a desperate attempt to sell a large pile of potatoes that we ’ d produced without really considering the consequences and now it has a life all of its own ,” explained Clarkson . “ Whether its tractor caps or cow juice [ milk !] everyone seems to love what we are selling which helps to justify the day-to-day grind of farming the land . I ’ m sure all those going to Silverstone will enjoy seeing what we have to offer , and a few may even buy something !”
