Screw the hex nut to the thread rod down to about 6cm from the top of the green
bauble. Add the washer and secure both the hex nut and washer with flower tape.
Wrap the rest of the thread rod with flower tape all the way up to form a barrier so
the cake will not touch the metal.

Roll out light brown fondant to a rectangle shape to about 3mm thick.
