NEWS FROM THE CHOCOLATE DEN
Another year seems to have rushed passed. We have seen alot of changes in the world of
chocolate and cake decorating. Wonderful new innovative ideas continue to be created, assisting
us in making our delicious and wonderful edible treats.
This month we have been introduced to ready made Crystal lace. A fantastic product that allows
you to simply apply ready made edible lace to your cakes.
More new stock continues to arrive and before the end of November we expect big shipments in
from the USA as well as China so watch our facebook for these new arrivals.
This passed term ended with our very successful Christmas launch. There were 5 mini workshops
attended by at least 50 people in each workshop. It was wonderful to see that even with such
volumes every one walk out with a beautiful chocolate and smile on their face. Workshop tables in
the courtyard were also busy with over 180 people participating in the cupcake decorating, cake
pops, chocolate truffle and cake push pops. If you missed out and are interested in what was
made pop into the shop and see the display which should be up first week of November.
The later part of December always quietens down. As a result we shorten our operating hours.
Please take note of these so as not to get annoyed and flustrated by arriving at The Chocolate
Den and finding it closed.
Things to look out for in this edition is once again our competition page. My favorite give away
this time is the ice cream making kit which would be a wonderful addition to a festive meal. Also
take a look at what our customers are making. Thanks to those of you who submitted photos, we
would love to see lots more in the new year. If your photo did make it into this edition please pop
in to receive your R100 voucher.
Of all the recipes in this e-mag the chocolate log is my families favorite in fact I had to make it
over and over again to ensure it was perfect before publishing. It is rich ans sweet, just what we
wish all of you over this festive season and the start to the new year.
When travelling over this period remember to buckle up and have a safe and enjoyable break.

Opening and closing times for December.
Up until the 27th December we will have our normal opening and closing times.
We will be closed on the following dates:
16th, 25th, 26th, December 2014, and on 1st January 2015.
Saturday 27th December 9am-1pm
29th, 30th, 31st, December and 2nd January 9am -3pm
3rd January 9am-3pm
