So close but so far

It is well known to almost everyone in the Charlotte area that the 2015-2016 Carolina Panther’s were having the season of a lifetime. Cam Newton had led his team to a 15-1 record, losing its week fourteen game against the Falcons. Charlotte was buzzing after the Panthers had powered their way through the playoffs and into the Super Bowl. As Panthers fans all know, the Super Bowl didn’t go as well as the regular season did.

The Panthers took a shocking loss to the Denver Broncos. No one ever expected this to happen based on the two teams rregular seasons. The loss for the Panthers came from a overpowering Denver defense, the two week period from which the Panthers played their last game, and the lack of leadership and performance from the team leader, Cam Newton.

The Panthers won their conference game, beating the Seattle Seahawks two weeks before the Super Bowl. After the defeat of a strong team who was in the Super Bowl, the world thought that the game was decided before it even started.

Over-excitment leads Cam Newton and the young Panthers to a disappointing performance in Super Bowl 50.
