PARADING FOR PROFESSIONALS

I
t wasn’t your typical Easter
Sunday — families were or-
dered to stay home and physi-
cal distancing was in full-
swing. But Charbonneau residents
tried to make the best of it, and
wanted to thank those who were
serving on the front lines during the
COVID-19 outbreak.
Residents cheered from their porch-
es — some adorned in costumes, while
others decorated their homes and
yards — to pay tribute to medical and
emergency personnel around noon
Sunday, April 12.
The Niners sponsored the event,
which involved a parade with mem-
bers of the Wilsonville Police Depart-
ment and Tualatin Valley Fire & Res-
cue, Fire Station 52, and of course, the
Easter Bunny. Community members
cheered, waved and smiled from afar
as emergency personnel made an ap-
pearance.
After the parade finished, Mary
Fieweger offered to purchase pizzas
from the Domino’s in Wilsonville to
say “thank you” to TVF&R and Wil-
sonville police. She wanted to give a
special thanks to the owner of Domi-
no’s, who comped the order upon
learning who the pizza was for.
