Beginner Tai Chi
Curious about Tai Chi? This class introduces a
simplified Tai Chi form that targets a range of ben-
efits including: balance, flexibility, improving core
strength and improving memory. An additional bo-
nus is having fun with others while discovering the
joy of mindful movement. The class meets on Tues-
day and Thursday, March 17 through April 30 from
1-2 p.m. at the Wilsonville Community Center. Cost
for the class is $65.

The Pavilion is a perfect spot for a reception
accommodating up to 150 guests. It has a lovely
fireplace, mini kitchen and outside seating.
The Charbonneau Country Club is next to the
Pavilion and is inside for inclement weather. The
country club has a full kitchen, bar, fireplace and
dance floor. In addition, we have rooms for the bride and bridal party and for the groom and
groomsmen.

has dementia? Are you looking for answers regard-
ing how best to care for them and for yourself?
Does the future feel uncertain, not knowing what it
will take to care for your loved one (and yourself),
physically, medically, emotionally and financially?
Please join Scott Lichtenstein, dementia specialist
and group facilitator for lively discussion, dementia
care information and resources, caregiver training
and more. The group will meet the first Monday of
each month from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Wilson-

The Alzheimer’s Association is pleased to present
an ongoing series of free educational classes at the
Wilsonville Parks and Recreation Administrative
Offices, 29600 SW Park Place. Sessions will take
place the second Thursday of each month and run

March 12 — Ten Warning Signs
In this class, attendees will gain an understand-
ing of the differences between age-related memory
loss and Alzheimer’s and what to do if they or
someone they know has signs of the disease.
April 9 — Effective Communication Strategies
Explore how communication takes place when
someone has Alzheimer’s; learn to decode the ver-
bal and behavioral messages delivered by someone
with dementia; and identify strategies to connect
and communicate at each stage of the disease.
