Take the right steps: fall prevention
Fall prevention strategies can help
reduce the number of accidental falls
suffered by older people. Falls and
fall-related injuries are among the
most serious and common medical
problems experienced by older adults.
Nearly one-third of older people fall
each year, and half of them fall more
than once.
If you have fallen, or if you have a
fear of falling, this workshop is for
you! The free seminar will take place
on Monday, Sept.16 from 12:45- 2 p.m.
at the Wilsonville Community Center.
There is no charge but please call
503-570-1526 to pre-register.

FUNctional Movement Workshop:
How much fun can you take?
As we age, the habits of a lifetime
start catching up with us. How we
move when getting in and out of a
chair, sitting, standing and walking
can end up making the body extreme-
ly grumpy. Bring the fun back into
your daily routine by taking the time
to learn to move in natural alignment.
The workshop will take place on
Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 12:50-1:50
p.m. at the
Wilsonville Community Center and
the cost is just $5. Please pre-register.

diabetes management. Please join Sa-
die Wallenberg on Thursday, Sept. 26,
at 10 a.m. to determine a new direc-
tion for diabetes support at the Wil-
sonville Community Center. Please
call Sadie at 503-570-1526 for more
