For the most part they will teach American style which can be used in ballroom, country western and night club set- tings. In the first five lessons, they will focus on the four-count hustle be- cause it can be learned very quickly and it can be used for slow dances, cha cha cha, and, of course, the hustle which is the most common dance played since 1970. The four-count hus- tle is also a very good foundational dance for the east coast swing, fox- trot, waltz, rumba and meringue. Charbonneau resident Randy Hitz was a university dean of education for 27 years and is looking forward to teach- ing you how to dance. If you have dance questions, call Randy at 503-853-4891. This series of five classes will be held at the clubhouse on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. Classes are an hour long and the first class begins Nov. 5. These class- es are free but please register in the CCC office so we know how many peo- ple to expect. At this price, class may fill up quickly so don’t delay. Singles are welcome, partners are not required. R.S.V.P. for Veterans Breakfast Charbonneau Country Club’s Eighth Annual Breakfast to honor Charbon- neau Veterans will be held on Satur- day, Nov. 9, at 8 a.m. This is a free breakfast honoring the service and sac- rifices of our military service members, past and present. In addition, we are planning a brief presentation at 8:30 a.m. The Wilsonville Rotary will be pre- paring the food, which includes: make- to-order omelets, pancakes and eggs.
