Foundation to
host wine tasting
event
By WILSONVILLE LIBRARY FOUNDATION
T
he Wilsonville Public Li-
brary Foundation will host
its fourth annual wine tast-
ing fundraiser, A Toast to
Imagination, Saturday, Nov. 9. The
event attracts new wineries each
year, showcasing the bold and tex-
tured flavors from wineries in the
Willamette Valley. This year, the
event will feature Archer Vine-
yards, Campbell Lane Winery, Carl-
ton Cellars, Sineann Winery and
Tumwater Vineyards.
Fundraising efforts by the Founda-
tion, including A Toast to Imagina-
tion, support a wide array of pro-
grams for residents of the city. A key
initiative by the Foundation is the
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
(DPIL), which offers one free high-
quality, age-appropriate book per

month to children from birth to age 5.
Through this program, the Founda-
tion has enriched the lives of more
than 2,500 Wilsonville children over
the past seven years, and delivered
over 57,000 books to their doors. DPIL
supports a key goal of the library to
“ignite a passion for reading and
learning in all children from birth.”
More than 800 children in Wilsonville
are currently enrolled in this Founda-
tion sponsored program.
The Foundation supports programs
and services for people of all ages, most notably, Science Adventure, the
Heritage Collection, school family
nightm, adult classes, History Pub in
collaboration with McMenamins and
community outreach.
“A Toast to Imagination is the
Foundation’s largest fundraiser and
enables investments in programs
that spark, nourish, and foster the
joy of reading for all ages. We’re
looking forward to seeing the contin-
ued success of this fundraiser and
what it can do for the community.
Have fun with your friends while
