Charbonneau Community
Information Day & Newcomers
Welcome
Charbonneau is a beautiful com-
munity and provides many opportu-
nities for enhancing daily life. If you
would like to learn more about your
community, come to the Country
Club Tuesday, Aug. 20, for “Commu-
nity Information Day.” This event
provides our residents with infor-
mation from a host of community
service providers, volunteering or-
ganizations and social group activi-
ties, all under one roof.
If you enjoy an active lifestyle,
learn about the Golf Club, Tennis
Club, Fitness Center, RV Yard, Ma-
rina, or exercise classes available
(i.e., zumba, aerobics). If you like to
play cards and games, visit with
those who play Bridge or Mah
Jongg. If you have a creative flair,
visit the various art booths.
A special invitation is extended to
residents who are new to Charbon-
neau to attend a brief, informative
orientation (bring your questions).
We look forward to welcoming you
to our community.
Many of the organizations will be
providing prizes for the free raffle.
We will also be selling a glass of
wine for just $1.
Invite your Charbonneau neigh-
bors to attend this enjoyable and in-
formative social event and be sure
to stop by the CCC Special Events
table to sign-up for upcoming activi-
ties (they may sell out in one day).
We are planning a western theme,
“Denim and Diamonds,” so come
and join in the fun!
Footloose at Broadway Rose
Theater on Aug. 29
Celebrate the spirit and optimism
of young people fighting for change
backed by a soundtrack of ‘80s pop
anthems in this stage adaptation of
the hit film. When city boy Ren
moves to a small town where danc-
ing is outlawed, he finds himself an
outsider and a target of the local
preacher who pushed for the ban,
especially after attracting the atten-
tion of the reverend’s rebellious
daughter. Through explosive chore-
ography and invigorating songs
such as “Holding Out for a Hero,”
“Let’s Hear it for the Boy” and the
exhilarating title track, Ren chal-
lenges the community to reverse the
rule and heal from the tragedy that
kept their hearts from dancing.
We will be attending this perfor-
mance Thursday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m.,
then, continue the outing at a fun
happy hour location. Your $70 ticket
will include deluxe motor coach
round-trip transportation and happy
hour munchies. Happy hour drinks
are not hosted so please be sure to
bring your wallet.
And the Fun Continues...
Mark your calendars for the fol-
lowing event:
