It is important to stay one step ahead of the scammers by learning about current swindles the crooks use. The most popular scams will be reviewed and the methods these thieves use will be discussed so you are able to recognize when things seem fishy. Effective Alzheimer's Communication Strategies Explore how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer's, learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and help connect and communicate at each stage of the disease. This free seminar will take place Thursday, April 11 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Wilsonville Parks and Recreation Admin Office. Program Highlight: AARP Smart Driver This 6-hour course is split into two sessions and will provide you with a comprehensive review of safe driving techniques. Community Garden Sign Up The Wilsonville Community Garden opens for registration Thursday, April 4. Gardeners are asked to come to the Parks and Recreation Admin Office to register and pick their garden plot. Registration opens at 8 a.m. In-ground plots are $22 for the season.
