The addition of a hospital is the culmination of that legacy . “ The new hospital is a continuation of the services that Scott & White Healthcare has offered through its clinics in College Station for the past 25 years ,” says Jason D . Jennings , chief executive officer of the Scott & White College Station Region . “ We ’ re excited to bring the model of care that Scott & White is known for , a seamless continuum of healthcare — outpatient to inpatient — to this region .”
The impact When the 340,000-square-foot hospital opens , Brazos Valley residents will have convenient access to Scott & White inpatient services . The hospital will also offer unparalleled integration of patient care through secure access to the healthcare system ’ s electronic medical record system . ( See Project Phoenix article on page 32 .) Patients can access medical expertise close to home with a continuum of services in inpatient and outpatient settings . This will benefit families tremendously . It has also been an area of focused attention since planning for the hospital began . “ Scott & White is about getting the right care at the right place ,” says Mr .
