Rayburn, MD, chief medical officer of the Scott & White College Station Region reminds us that “Scott & White first made a serious commitment to the Bryan–College Station region almost three decades ago, in 1985, when the healthcare system’s first clinic opened in Bryan, Texas.” What started as a modest group of physicians in a single clinic back in 1985 has finally come full circle. One of the largest clinics in the Scott & White system—with a medical staff of more than 110 providers, 30-plus medical specialties, and four current locations in College Station alone— this group practice has seen significant change in 25 years. “The development and construction of the new hospital campus is a milestone in the lives and careers of many of our physicians who built this practice, including five who have been with Scott & White since the clinic’s inception in 1985,” says Dr. Rayburn.
