THE BUSINESS SHOW: SWINDON
Swindon Initiative said: “We are absolutely
delighted that we have secured Rob Law to
speak at this year’s show, this undoubtedly
brings the show to a new level and will offer
tangible business benefits and give great
business insight to our visitors .”
The South West’s leading
business exhibition returns
for the fourth year running on
Thursday 15 May hosted by
Business West and sponsored
by Excalibur. The show takes
place at STEAM, Swindon and
will run from 9am-4pm and is
free to attend.
With an expected attendance
of over 800 powerful and
influential businesses, the
show remains the highlight of
the business calendar and the
networking event of the year.
Here we reveal what to expect
from the show.
Keynote Presentation
Rob Law MBE - Magmatic Limited
Time: 12:30-13:15
This year’s keynote speaker is the founder
and director of Magmatic Limited, the brand
behind the much-loved children’s brand
Trunki. Rob will speak about the setbacks
and learnings of his start-up story, how
leaders can get the best out of a team and
the benefits of reshoring - bringing
manufacturing back home.
The company is a template of success for
young British business, imagineering mouldbreaking design-led products that compete on
quality and value, not just price.
Almost 8 years after officially launching to
the retail community, Trunki is a market leader
and has received 76 industry and consumer
accolades, most recently winning the much
coveted National Business Award – The
Santander Small to Medium-Sized Business
of the Year. Two million units have now been
sold, with distribution secured in more than 97
countries. Rob Law is a popular and engaging
personality, not least for his ‘dragon slaying’
tips and fresh take on business.
