MEET DIGITAL MARKETING EXPERT ROB CURTIS

Rob Curtis set up The Pursuit Agency less than a year ago after working in digital marketing for more than eight years . He ’ s an expert in SEO , Pay Per Click and intelligent content creation . Within a few short months , he was shortlisted as ‘ Start up of the Year ’ in the South West Business & Community Awards .
I ’ ve had a passion for and been in the digital marketing space since 2016 where I ’ ve predominately been focused on search engine optimisation , paid media and social media marketing .
It was in July last year that I took the plunge and left my previous role to turn The Pursuit Agency into a reality . It was – and is – a really exciting opportunity for me to get my hands dirty and be involved in lots of new projects with lots of businesses in different sectors . To date I ’ ve worked with around 20 businesses UK wide .
My agency is a content focused digital marketing agency where we start with a strategy , build a digital marketing plan , then use technical tactics with ongoing content and search engine marketing , whilst incorporating ad hoc campaigns . I do believe your website is the closest thing to a digital asset you will ever own and I do not advocate for the view that websites are a ‘ thing ’ of the past . I believe they are critical to success and to reputation in business , and very important if you want to sell online or you want to widen your reach and impact online .
Digital tactics to generate engagement online continues to change which means this type of marketing has to evolve continuously . Remember when we used to ‘ ask Jeeves ’? and who remembers myspace ? They seem a life-time ago .
I work with my clients to ensure , over time that their websites become the ‘ go to ’ place of knowledge , service and information for their sector in their geographic location or locations . Then we utilise trending tactics to drive the right type of visitor to their sites .
The future for The Pursuit Agency Growing the team around me ! I ’ m looking to work with talented individuals , helping them to develop their own careers .
I was lucky in my first ‘ proper job ’ at 18 , I had an amazing boss who encouraged and developed me hugely in work , and personally . This is something I really want to continue to pay forward .
Another ethic for me is one of giving back in my community or to a charity which means something to me . During 2022 , I did take part in the London Marathon and I ’ ve raised more than £ 2,000 for charity . It was very hard work however I want that social conscience to be part of my business .

And I ’ m a huge advocate for the town of Swindon and the county of Wiltshire . I was born and brought up here and I love where I live . I ’ ve now got my own family and I ’ m very blessed to live in such a wonderful place , offering fantastic opportunities to my own daughters as they grow up .
